How it works

From first message to settled in.

No portals, no sign-ups, no waiting on hold. Here's exactly what happens when you get in touch with SmartMoveMe — and what we'll need from you along the way.

Four steps

What happens, and who does what

  1. Step 1

    Choose a service

Any time after you receive your university offer

    You

Pick what you need: accommodation, an airport pickup, academic support, student support, or a mix. Not sure? Just ask us.

    Us

We explain the options honestly, including when you probably don't need us at all.

  2. Step 2

    Send us your enquiry

    A couple of minutes

    You

Fill in the short enquiry form. Choose your services, add your city and dates if you know them, then press send.

    Us

A real person reads every enquiry, and you receive an email confirming that we have it.

  3. Step 3

    Get options from us

Once we have reviewed your enquiry

    You

Chat through your plans, ask questions and add family to the conversation if you'd like.

    Us

We connect you with trusted partners and confirm prices and terms in writing.

  4. Step 4

    Get support

Until you're settled — and for as long as you need us

    You

Approve the plan and deal with partners on clear, agreed terms — no surprises.

    Us

We coordinate between partners, follow up after each service and stay in touch once you've arrived.

Be ready

What to have to hand

You don't need everything to get started, but these details help us move faster.

For accommodation

  • Your university and campus location
  • Course start date and planned move-in date
  • Weekly budget, including whether bills should be included
  • Preferred room type (shared, private, en-suite or studio)
  • Whether you have a UK guarantor

Timing

When to get in touch

The bars show roughly how far ahead of your arrival each service is best arranged.
  • Accommodation

    3–6 months before your course

Earlier for London and September intakes, when demand peaks.

  • Student support

    As soon as you're preparing

Pre-departure questions are best answered early.

  • Airport transfer

    1–3 weeks before your flight

Once your flight is booked. Short notice is often possible.

  • Academic support

    When your first brief lands

Or before a deadline feels close — not the night before.

Step one

Ready when you are. It takes a minute.

Send us a message in your own words. We'll take it from there.
